Elizabeth St. Hilaire is a Signature Member of the Collage Society. She has authored a book about her collage art, Painted Paper Art Workshop, with North Light Books, in bookstores August 2016. She has been published in several books including North Light Books’ Incite 2 Color Passion; The Best of Mixed Media (2014), Acrylic Works (2016). She won honorable mention in The Artist’s Magazine Annual Art Competition in the category of Animal/Wildlife, (2015) and took first place in The Artist’s Magazine All Media contest in the category of collage (2010). Her work has been featured in American Art Collector, Southern Living, Cloth Paper Scissors, Orlando Arts, and Cloth Paper Scissors Studios magazines, Collage in All Dimensions (book) by Gretchen Bierbaum and The Cloth Paper Scissors Book: Techniques and Inspiration for Creating Mixed-Media Art.
Born and raised in New England, Elizabeth has lived in Central Florida for the past 20+ years. She holds a B.F.A. in Advertising Design from Syracuse University, which prepared her for a dual identity as both graphic designer and fine artist–these days she’s a full-time fine artist who’s only graphic design client is herself. St. Hilaire crisscrosses the country several times a year to take her paper tidbits on the road. Teaching and sharing her collage technique through an intense three-day Paper Paintings workshop has become a passion.
This will be Elizabeth’s first time teaching in Kentucky, and we are so honored to host her. For more about her amazing art, check out paperpaintings.com.
