Salvaged and Stitched
July 18, 2017
2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
As a self-professed “junker,” I have a very hard time passing up unfinished handmade projects when I see them. A few years ago I came across a stack of Quilt Blocks that were never made into a quilt. They were beautifully tattered and worn, and my heart wondered about the hands that crafted them.
Inspiration struck and I stenciled on one and then stitched it. I. Love. It. and I want to share my process with you, too.
I’ll show you how to stencil on fabric, talk about color choices, demonstrate a number of embroidery stitches and walk you through how I like to embellish at the end of my projects.
You’ll leave with a start on a great project that you could turn into a pillow, journal cover, wall hanging, or who knows where your imagination will take you!
Everything is supplied for this workshop and no experience is necessary.
The minimum age to participate is 16. Minimum needed to make this class is 4; maximum is 10.
