If you are into Art Journaling or Collage, you know how much you LOVE using papers that are totally unique to you, and you know what a pain it can be to take up all the space in your studio to make them!

If you’ve taken one of our Gelli Plate Workshops, or done paper printing at home, you know what an “event” it is pulling out paints, paper, the Gelli plates, and having enough drying room for all your luscious paper pulls. And, if you’ve used solvents to alter papers, you know how stinky they can be. Having an outside space and a big studio makes it soooo much easier to enjoy these processes.

We can solve all that in one  TWO fun dayZ!

We are going to have 1.5 days of paper manipulation and printing so you can learn so new techniques and end up with a stack of beautiful papers to use in your artwork, card making, collage or art journaling. And a half-day to play with your creations!

In the morning we’ll work with National Geographic Magazine pages, & solvents that do really cool things.

After lunch, we’ll get into the inks, paints, and stencils and use them on a variety of our most favorite papers — Duralar, Mineral Paper, Ricepaper — to name a few. We’ll use stencils, and tissue papers to create some beautiful transparent papers to use in your work. I’ve fallen in love with Rice paper and we’ll use stamps, inks, and other tools to create some fun stuff. We may get really messy and try Mary Beth Shaw’s new “stencil dip!”

On day two, we’ll get out the gel printing plates and explore what we can do with paints, stencils and alcohol inks, and some surprise image transfers.

After lunch, we’ll break out our art journals and you’ll be handed a stack of blank greeting cards. The last half-day of the class will be free-range “arting” creating with wild abandon!

You will leave with a stack of beautiful papers to use! Fun! Fun! Fun!

Almost EVERYTHING is provided for this class, including lunches, drinks, snacks & Chocolate!!
