Everything but the kitchen sink is a class all about recycling, reusing, and exploring the freedom of mixed media.
We will be working through a series of techniques to distress, weather, and salvage papers, fabrics, and images to create a one-of-a-kind book. In this workshop, Tiffany will share ways to unearth that artist that is begging to be free. This workshop will involve a little clay work along with getting messy with layers.
If you’ve been looking for a way to break free of perfection and explore how to create layers, textured and dynamic mixed media journals this workshop is for you.
Tiffany is providing almost everything you need for this workshop!
Students, please bring:
- Any special ephemera and/or fabrics that you would like to bring to include in your books.
- An Awl
- Thimble if you use one
- Your basic SMALL Mixed Media tool kit including–
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Paintbrushes – nice ones and scrappy ones
- Metal ruler
- Stabilo All Pencil
- Small spray bottle for water
- Your go-to black and white pens
- Any favorite tools you always reach for.
- Art journal or something you can use to jot down ideas and spread excess paint into.

As always, lunches, as well as snacks & drinks, are provided. Chocolate is an Art Supply at Ephemera Paducah!
The minimum age to participate is 18, Teens aged 16 & 17 are welcome with an adult also registered for the workshop.
The minimum needed to make this class is 10; the maximum is 20.

If you registered for this workshop by making a deposit of $199 please note that your deposit is non-refundable but is applied to your balance. Your balance ($300) is due no later than July 1, 2022, and can be made via Credit card on this page or by mailing a check to Ephemera Paducah. Not paying the balance on or before the due dates results in the loss of your deposit and class seat.
