Patience is a dear Lower Town neighbor, animal lover (particularly Whippets), and absolutely obsessed with needle felting. And a Sarafina Certified Instructor! The Sarafina Certification Curriculum serves to certify instructors to teach using Sarafina techniques, products, and structural support. Sarafina Certified Instructors are skilled, understand the potential of the medium, and are able to convey a world of felting possibilities in a helpful, fun, and concise manner.
Holiday Needle Felting Fun
December 11, 2021
10:00 am - 4:30 pm
Class size: Minimum 5, Maximum 10; Minimum age to participate 12
Spend a whole day in the Studio with Patience Renzulli and end up with three (3) Christmas Tree ornaments suitable for gifting to your friends and family!
Never tried it before? Not a problem. You may leave with ornaments without as much detail as the experienced stabbers, but you will still have fun and end up with finished ornaments.
Needle felting is a process that uses barbed needles to interlock wool fibers to form a more condensed material. Wool fibers have scales which when rubbed against each other catch and lock into place to create this denser material called felt. Felting needles are used to entangle the fibers. And, it’s so. much. stinking. fun.
Most everything is supplied! You will need to bring $10 to pay Patience for your Kit Fee which covers your wool, a couple of needles, and use of a felting surface if you don’t have one.
Students Should Have/Bring:
A Sarafina Zullitool
Clover Needlefelting Pen Tool
There are four (4) registration options. If you have a Sarafina Zullitool ($24) and Clover Needle Felting Pen Tool ($15), bring those. If not, you’ll need them for class and the prices are included in the registration options. We’ll have them waiting for you at the start of class. Zip Kristin an email if you have any questions.
Your registration includes lunch and a special sale that day! All needle felting kits will be 25% off the day of class!
Please be prepared to show your Covid-19 Vaccination card prior to the start of this workshop. Thank you ~
