Gelli Plate Printing Extravaganza!
August 31, 2017
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
We are trying something brand spanking new!
If you’ve taken one of our Gelli Plate Workshops, or done paper printing at home, you know what an “event” it is pulling out paints, paper, the Gelli plates, and having enough drying room for all your luscious paper pulls.
The shop is going to be set up with six stations, each equipped with our extra large 12 x 14 Studio Plates. You register for a 2-hour shift (or multiple shifts)which includes the use of Studio Acrylic Paints, brayers, texture tools, and a package of paper including deli paper and dictionary paper.
At the beginning of each 2-hour session, Kristin will demonstrate some basic techniques and will be around to help those who haven’t done this before.
The last 10 minutes of each session will be devoted to cleaning up, stacking papers, & ooohing and aaaahhhhing over your mad printing skillz.
You will leave with a stack of beautiful papers to use in your collage, card-making, scrapbooking or other artistic endeavors!
What to Bring:
- A Box of Baby Wipes!
- Optional: Bring paper you’d like to print. You will receive a package of @ 25 papers, but bring scrapbook paper, old book pages, coffee filters, or just about any paper to try, if you like.
- Paints are supplied, but feel free to bring a palette of acrylic colors you especially like using.
- Aprons are supplied as this gets messy. Please don’t wear your Sunday best!
Minimum per shift 1, Maximum per shift 6. Minimum age 12
