Flying Fairy Dollmaking with Charlie Patricolo

Price: $249 plus a $20 Kit Fee paid to the instructor at the beginning of the workshop – includes lunches, drinks & snacks daily
Class size: Minimum 4; Maximum 12. No experience necessary. Minimum age to participate: 16.

Over the course of three (3) days, you’ll stitch and stuff a fantastic Flying Fairy (about 15” long)! With a needle sculpted face, beautiful clothing, wired wings made of silk organza and painted rice paper you will create a one of a kind figure. She floats on air (ok, hangs by a wire but you get the picture)!

No previous doll making experience is needed to be successful in this class, but a sewing machine in good working order and familiarity with it is required. If you are traveling with a friend, the two of you can share a machine as there are many components of this class in addition to machine sewing.

Daily lunches, drinks & snacks are included as well as all materials. Show up with your sewing machine and basic sewing kit and create your own Flying Fairy!

Students need to bring:

• a sewing machine** in good working order (if you don’t use yours frequently, give it a run a few weeks before leaving for the workshop)
• a basic sewing kit (fabric scissors, paper scissors, and strong straight pins).

The Kit will include ($20 fee paid to the instructor at the start of your workshop):   fabric for your doll, yarns for hair, silk and paper for clothing/wings, stuffing, paints, pens and pencils, and stuffing tools for use.
