Day 1 - Colorful Layers
March 4, 2022

Day 2 - Colorful Layers
March 5, 2022
9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join Carolyn Dube for two days of gel printing fun! She’s sharing techniques that help your colors blend together seamlessly and techniques that prevent your colors from blending. Why do you need to understand both of these? Because creating rich vibrant layers of color in your prints isn’t random. Once you know the “why”, then you can dial it up or down, creating prints in the colors you adore. Even if you’ve never made a gel print before.
Step-by-step, the techniques are broken down but fair warning, this is an addictive process so be prepared to make an abundance of glorious prints you love. Carolyn’s bringing the Gel Press plates, StencilGirl stencils, PanPastels, and mediums for you to use along with a variety of printmaking tools so that you walk out the door with prints you love but more importantly, with a solid understanding and comfort with color so that you can continue making colorful layers!
What to bring:
All you need to bring is paint and an apron. What kind of paint? Any acrylic paint you like to use in black, titanium white, and 10 colors you love! Carolyn uses medium to thick paints. Examples of this are Liquitex Basics, Amsterdam Standard, Liquitex Heavy Body, or Golden Heavy Body.
