Those who have visited the shop comment on the cool slick glossy finish atop of much of the art adorning the walls. (Yes, this what’s mostly in the bathroom in the Studio.)
Join us for a workshop, perfect for beginners and experienced folks, alike, where we’ll spend the day creating two (2) fun or whimsical or meaningful collages with layers of paint, paper, fabric, 3-D elements, glitter and all kinds of cool stuff. At the end of the day, if they are dry, we’ll pour resin on top of them which will harden in about 12 hours. Your pieces will be ready for pick-up the a few days after class. Everyone will receive 2 canvases to work on: a 12 x 12 and 12 x 24.
Although all supplies are included in this workshop, you are encouraged to bring personal items to include in your collages. If the items are precious, photocopies do just as well.
No experience is necessary, but the minimum age to participate is 14.
Everyone asks about food for day-long workshops! You may pack a lunch or we’ll take a stroll a block down the street to the newly opened Kitchens Cafe at the Paducah School of Art & Design when we need sustenance!
